TINLEY PARK, IL — It's about that time, Erik Pizer thinks. Time to see what's on the flipside.

Co-founder of the now-defunct 350 Brewing, Pizer is ready to debut his very own adventure in brewing, Flipside Brewing. The brewery will open Friday, July 29, in the same spot previously occupied by 350, 7144 183rd St. in Tinley Park.

With a lease signed just a few months ago, it's been a race to this fresh start for Pizer and Flipside. If you missed it last week, Pizer told Patch all about his vision for Flipside—cleaner lines, more polished interior, pops of colors, with the same great beers, brewed in-house and of his own creation.

It's been a bit of a winding road for Pizer to end up right back in the same strip mall where he started with 350 in 2014, but it feels right this time he said, and he's sticking to the beers he knows best.

He'll open with American lager Flipside Lager, and Last Stop IPA, akin to his Crook County IPA of 350 days. He'll also offer Filbert's sodas, cocktails, wine, ciders, and non-alcoholic beers.

"My beers were never the problem why I moved on to the next place, it was always other things, so if it ain't broke, don't fix it," Pizer told Patch previously.

Think along the lines of an English mild ale, Witbier, hazy IPAs, and a milk stout. He'll also feature a collaboration with Werk Force Brewing, a West Coast IPA dubbed Howdily Doodily Neighborino.

The opening is a long-awaited toast to Pizer's brewing journey, and a belated gift for his wife Katie, whose birthday was July 15.

Flipside will be open Friday, July 29, 3 to 11 p.m.
