Orland Township Election

Orland Township, with nearly 100,000 residents living in all or portions of Homer Glen, Orland Park, and Tinley Park must get out the vote in April, and they must themselves vote. This precious franchise that can give all of us voice in township governance needs to be exercised in greater numbers than ever before. This election will be pivotal in determining the long-term direction of township government.

For the first time in a number of years there will be a Republican slate of candidates running for the offices of Supervisor, Clerk, Trusteeships, and Highway Commissioner. Under the very capable guidance of Orland Park Trustee Cindy Katsenes, this group of GOP candidates will seek to ride the November tide of a Republican wave to make Orland Township Great Again, with enhanced fiscal responsibility, full government transparency, and holding the line on township taxes.

All of this will be achieved by budgeting that rewards creativity and productivity within township areas of service to seniors, teens, young children, those in need of our food pantry, and those seeking township provided health services. All of these services must be provided with empathy, love, and sound spending habits that require good stewardship of taxpayer dollars. The Orland Township Republican ticket will be ever mindful of the hard work that produces the revenues collected to maintain these services.

Please assess those seeking township offices; the seemingly entrenched, the challengers seeking opportunities for nepotism and patronage policies, and those of us who understand bigger government is rarely better government. It is, in fact, more likely to invite corruption, become complacent, and lose the concerns of citizens in a black hole of bureaucracy.

My plea to Orland Township residents is that they look to our service minded field of Republican candidates for township offices. And that you would honor us with your votes.
