TINLEY PARK, IL — Legendary musician Paul McCartney brings his "One on One" tour to the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in Tinley Park Tuesday night for a long-awaited show that could go down as one of the largest events ever held at the popular south suburban entertainment venue. Fans were allowed in to the venue around 6 p.m., with the show was officially set to begin at 7:30 p.m. Roccaforte related before 8 p.m. that McCartney was not expected to take the stage until 8:15 p.m.

6:57 p.m.: "People are extremely excited. Lots of tie dye and Sgt Pepper outfits. I'm waiting to see if anyone is dressed like a walrus." - Lorraine Swanson

7:16 p.m.: "Sitting behind a woman named Kathy. She saw the Fab Four play at Comiskey Park once and the Chicago Amphitheater twice." - Lorraine Swanson

7:21 p.m.: "10 minutes 'til Macca. The baby boomers are rockin''" - Lorraine Swanson

Fans are decked out on a beautiful night for music.

7:48 p.m.: According to photographer AJ Roccaforte, Paul isn't expected on stage until 8:15 p.m. - Lorraine Swanson

8:06 p.m.: Reports indicate traffic heading into the amphitheatre is "horrendous." - Lorraine Swanson

8:30 p.m.: Sir Paul is on stage!!! Fans are screaming their heads off as Paul McCartney opens with "Hard Days Night," one of the many classic songs from The Beatles. - Lorraine Swanson

8:43 p.m.: The crowd is packed with fans of all ages. Not an all older crowd like some might expect. It was nice seeing people that grew up listening to this music back in the day, their kids, kids of theirs, etc. Also, it seemed like a popular place for date night for a lot of people my age (in their 20's). Good to see people of all ages and multiple generations enjoying the same music at the same place, same time, etc., knowing they're all there with so many different memories and experiences. - AJ Roccaforte

8:47 p.m.: Paul moves to the piano and is playing a song his wrote for his wife, Nancy, who is in the audience tonight. - Lorraine Swanson

9:05 p.m.: Paul begins reading audience signs.

McCartney has an encore show planned for Wednesday night at the same location.
