Person Shot In Tinley Park
A person has been hospitalized and another is in custody after an incident in a backyard near 69th Avenue and 173rd Place Tuesday morning.
TINLEY PARK, IL — A person was shot in Tinley Park early Tuesday morning and is at Silver Cross Hospital recovering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to an alert from the Village of Tinley Park. The shooting occurred at 1:23 a.m. in the area of 69th Avenue and 173rd Place.
Police have taken a second person into custody at the scene of the shooting, which the alert indicated was in the backyard of a residence in the area.
An investigation continues, but police believe there is no current danger to the community.
