Styx, REO Speedwagon, and Don Felder brought their "United We Rock" tour to Tinley Park on Saturday night.
Two bands viewed their show at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre on Saturday night as a homecoming, rather than just another stop on their tour.
Styx and REO Speedwagon, both having ties to the Chicagoland area, played the Tinley Park concert venue over the weekend during their "United We Rock" tour with former Eagles member, Don Felder.
Felder opened the show, playing originals from his 27-year career with the Eagles. His set also featured appearances from the two headlining acts on the road with him.

Meanwhile, a little later in the evening, REO Speedwagon took the stage themselves for a well-anticipated 14-song setlist. Formed in Champaign, IL in 1967, REO is fronted by Oak Lawn native Kevin Cronin, who shows appreciation for his family, friends, and longtime fans in attendance at every hometown show.
While REO stuck with the deep cuts from their early days, Styx chose the contrary and promoted some of their latest creations off their new album when it was their turn in front of the crowd, beginning with their opening sequence.

The latter half of Styx’s time in the spotlight on Saturday, however, featured their famous radio anthems; a majority of which were first written and recorded right here in the area.
You can catch Styx, REO Speedwagon, and Don Felder on their "United We Rock" tour now through the end of August. For tickets and a full list of upcoming shows, visit Live Nation.
