Pot Arrest Made 3 Weeks Before Legalization: Tinley Park Blotter

A man found sleeping in a car behind Intimo was the last to pick up possession of cannabis charge in Tinley Park before legalization: cops.

POSSESSION OF CANNABIS

A man was arrested for possession of cannabis on Dec. 14, 2019 at 2:34 a.m. Police said two men were found sleeping inside a car parked in the lot behind Intimo on 183rd Street. They were both cooperative, according to police. A single bud of cannabis was found under the driver's seat and one of the men was charged with possession of cannabis.

THEFT

A Tinley Park - Park District employee told police at 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 18 that a 12-foot section of a spruce tree was cut from the main section of the tree at Town Point Park before the employee arrived for work that day.

POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Daniel Ellingham, 35, of Gary, Indiana was charged with possession of a controlled substance, driving while suspended and for being responsible for a property damage accident at 183rd and Harlem on Dec. 18. Police said they found cocaine in the car and learned Ellingham had his license suspended out of Indiana.
