Pumpkins Still Available at Trinity Lutheran Church
Still time to choose pumpkins at the Pumpkin Patch at Trinity Lutheran Church in Tinley Park. The pumpkins are available for purchase.
If you haven't found your perfect pumpkin yet, look no further. There are several options in the parking lot at Trinity Lutheran Church in Tinley Park.
The Trinity Pumpkin Patch is open on Friday and Saturday from 11:30-6:30PM. There are pumpkins and gourds of all sizes for sale. There are also two backgrounds painted by Trinity Lutheran Church member and artist, Raye Ann Saunoris.
"The first background of the pumpkin harvest has a crow giving a sunflower to the scare-a-crow" explains Saunoris. "This made me wonder why they call a scare a crow when in really life, they seem to land on them. I even painted one white pumpkin. Originally these were going to be cut-outs so children can put their faces in. Just as I was finishing painting the butterflies, I saw a beautiful monarch and two white butterflies swarm before my eyes" added Saunoris.

Saunoris has been painting murals at Trinity Lutheran since 2009. She explains the second background she designed and painted.
"On the second board, everyone thinks of animals and a farm when you think of pumpkins. So to add humor I made a duck enjoying a tractor ride with hid feathers blowing with the breeze while wearing cowboy boots" Saunoris explains. "The farmer has pencil thin legs with detailed cowboy boots with spurs riding small antic tractor. I think I captured a relaxed feeling especially with a beautiful sky" she added.

Two very unique backgrounds to photograph your children holding their pumpkins.
"I enjoyed painting the two backgrounds because I loved creating a scene that makes kids and adults smile, allowing them to feel the kindness and the beautiful fall harvest colors" added Saunoris.
The Trinity pumpkin Patch is also a fundraiser. According to Saunoris, she was thrilled to be helping since it is a fundraiser for Trinity and a percentage goes to a certain Indian Tribe.
"In that, I have a great respect for Native American Indians" added Saunoris.
Stopping by the pumpkin Patch at Trinity, Rayann Denlinger brought her 4 year old daughter Olivia to choose a pumpkin. Trinity members, the whole Denlinger family including dad Andrew and Olivia's older sister, Evelyn, helped unload the pumpkins a few weeks back and were happy to volunteer. "All of us had a great time unloading the pumpkins, especially the girls" said Rayann. "Both girls loved the baby pumpkins, but my oldest daughter Evelyn didn't want any bumpy pumpkins in her wagon."
Final days for Trinity Pumpkin Patch are Friday and Saturday from 11:30-6:30PM. Trinity Lutheran Church is located in Tinley Park at 6850 159th Street.
