Registration for Dianne Masters Cup Golf Outing continues

The 11th Annual Golf Outing seeks new participants

Tinley Park, IL -- The Crisis Center for South Suburbia’s (CCSS) Annual Golf Outing NEVER disappoints and the committee is making sure this year will be no exception. Taking place on Tuesday, August 11th at Silver Lake Country Club in Orland Park, golfers will be enjoying a day on the greens. At 7:30a.m. the day will begin with a continental breakfast and shotgun start at 9:00a.m. Popular contests such as the Ball Launcher, Hit to the Raft, Beat the Pro, and others return to add more challenge and anticipation to an exciting day. CCSS is happy to welcome back Four Seasons Heating and Air Conditioning as this year’s Title Sponsor.

This event honors CCSS founder, Dianne Masters. Masters was the visionary that began the Crisis Center in 1978 by operating a hotline in her kitchen. Along with her other colleagues, they were able to open one of the first residential emergency shelters in the country for victims of domestic violence. Unfortunately, just four years after opening the center, Masters lost her life at the hands of her husband.

Masters’ tragic death encourages CCSS to get others involved to fight against domestic violence. Participating in the golf outing can do just that. CCSS is always looking for new participants who are unfamiliar with the mission of the center to get involved and stand behind such a worthy cause. This event has sold out for two years in a row. Over 150 people attend this incredibly popular event, enjoying the beauty of Silver Lake and the excitement of the contests and prizes.
