No plans this weekend? Catch REO Speedwagon at the Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre with Train on Saturday, July 13th.

REO Speedwagon is back on the road again and will be taking it on the run into Tinley Park this weekend.

Originally formed right here in Illinois in 1967, REO Speedwagon is bringing their “Summer Road Trip” tour with co-headliner, Train, and special guest Yacht Rock Revue, to the Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre in Tinley Park this Saturday, July 13th.

Saturday’s show will be a hometown return for REO frontman, Kevin Cronin.

Kevin grew up in Oak Lawn and still has family residing in the Chicagoland area. His late parents, Ted and Millie, were well-known amongst other Oak Lawn residents, especially to parishioners of St. Linus Church where they were very active members.

Cronin and REO Speedwagon are also being featured at the Oak Lawn Public Library in the “Rock N’ Roll Legends of Oak Lawn” exhibit, in collaboration with photographer AJ Roccaforte, located in the local history room on the second floor of the library.

The exhibit opened in April and is already expected to get an addition, with new photos from recent shows to be added by the end of July. The exhibit will run through the remainder of 2024.

Tickets are still available for Saturday’s show in Tinley Park, which can be purchased through Live Nation.

Stay tuned next week to the Tinley Park Patch for photos from the show.
