'Ring Around the Kia'

A 39-year-old surgical dental assistant is accused of vandalizing her ex-boyfriend’s new lady friend’s car, prosecutors said.

Katerina Timotheopolous, 39, appeared in bond court on a charge of criminal damage to property.

According to the charges, Timotheopolous saw the new girlfriend’s 2012 Kia parked in her ex-boyfriend’s driveway in Tinley Park.

Prosecutors said the ex-boyfriend saw the woman on home surveillance cameras kicking the side paneling on the Kia.

Timotheopolous allegedly took a key or other sharp object and walked around the Kia twice, scratching the paint.

Prosecutors said damage to the car was estimated at $3,700.

Timotheopolous’s attorney told the judge that his client is a surgical dental assistant and has worked in the same Naperville dental center for five years.

The judge set bail at $37,000. He also ordered Timotheopolous to stay away from her ex-boyfriend and his friend.

Timotheopolous is due back in court in Bridgeview on Dec. 3.
