Driver Suffers Minor Injuries After Crashing Into Pole: Tinley PD

TINLEY PARK, IL — Tinley Park police were diverting traffic for hours Wednesday afternoon, after the driver in a single-vehicle crash struck a pole, police said.

The crash happened at 167th and Lakewood Wednesday afternoon, said Deputy Chief Lawrence Rafferty. The pole was knocked down, and ComEd was on-scene working on the downed lines, and the road remained closed into the night. It was reopened late in the evening.

The crash resulted in only minor injuries, police said.
