Rogers Hair Salon Building Demolished

TINLEY PARK, IL -- A building alongside a major thoroughfare in Tinley Park was demolished over the weekend.

Wrecking crews razed the building that was the former location of Rogers Hair Salon at 17226 S. Oak Park Ave., according to a social media post from the Village of Tinley Park. The village does not own the property where the building stood.

The hair salon was a longtime tenant of the building, which was abandoned in recent years. The most recent Yelp review of the closed business came in 2014.

"I had my hair done there for years," one woman wrote on Facebook.
