Crisis Center for South Suburbia to host annual event in February

Tinley Park, IL – The Crisis Center for South Suburbia (CCSS) is preparing to glimmer, shimmer and shine at their biggest fundraiser of the year, the Heart to Heart Gala presented by Exelon. The committee has been working diligently to ensure the Winter Wonderland themed event is a magnificent evening for all. The gala will take place on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Silver Lake Country Club in Orland Park. The evening gala is a chance to raise funds for those victimized by domestic violence but also an opportunity to celebrate the success of so many CCSS clients.
The evening of wonderment will begin at 6:00pm with a cocktail reception and the opening of an outstanding silent auction. Guests will enjoy a delicious 4-course meal, drinks from the open bar, purchase chances for a Grand Raffle with prizes up to $5,000, bid on exciting live auction items including exotic vacations, fine dining experiences, and a vast array of items for all ages.
CCSS will also be honoring the 2016 Dianne Masters Award recipients during the evening. Award recipients express strong attachment with CCSS and with the mission of ending domestic violence. There will be 4 awards given: The Dianne Masters, Corporate Recognition, Courage, and Volunteer Spirit. Special Events Coordinator, Chris Beele, shares his excitement for the awards portion of the event. “Recognizing such remarkable people and organizations with the Dianne Masters Awards is a perfect tie in with the reason we are having the gala. While our goal is to raise funds, the Heart to Heart is the perfect venue to share the success of our clients and show our appreciation for the many supporters dedicated to our cause. The recipients of these awards are so deserving because of their willingness to help others.”

While guests will experience an evening complete with beautiful decorations and excitement, what should not go unnoticed is the hard work of the Heart to Heart committee. A dedicated group of friends and supporters will be working behind the scenes to ensure the evening is nothing short of wonderful. The committee works to secure sponsorships, donations, and to sell raffle tickets. “Without the help of the committee, it couldn’t be done. There’s so much work that goes into an event, it’s heartwarming that we have so many volunteers willing to help”, says Beele.
