Schoop's Now Open in Tinley Park

Burger chain moves in down the street from Portillo's in Tinley Park.

An Indiana-based burger chain has landed in Tinley Park, with the Aug. 31 opening of Schoop’s.

The location at 16703 S. Harlem Ave. replaced a breakfast spot and ice cream spot in a retail strip near CVS pharmacy.

Business partners Maria Venardon and Rich Ferro’s co-own the Tinley Park spot, the company’s 19th location and fifth in Illinois. The others can be found in Orland Square and Chicago Ridge malls, Calumet City and Monee. The first Schoop’s opened in 1948.
