Slight Majority Favor Pot Sales In Tinley Park: Survey
A second survey on the issue revealed similar results: Tinley Park residents favor allowing recreational marijuana businesses.
TINLEY PARK, IL — The second cannabis survey issued in Tinley Park in a three-month span concluded with closer results, but the final tally still shows that a majority of participants support allowing pot sales in the village.
The village promoted a Survey Monkey survey that was open from Jan. 3 to Jan. 25 with one question: “Shall the Village of Tinley Park, in light of state legislation legalizing the possession, consumption and sale of recreational adult-use cannabis, allow the sale of recreational adult-use cannabis within its jurisdiction?”
Results show that 51.53 percent, 2,509 voters, support allowing cannabis businesses while 48.47 percent, 2,360 voters, oppose. More than 97 percent of respondents indicated they are residents of Tinley Park, survey results show.
