Spa Bans Man After False Theft Accusation: Cops

Some of the latest reports from the Tinley Park Police Department include a lost and found washing machine.

The following information is from the Tinley Park Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Washing Machine Lost, Found

Police were called to an apartment complex in the 7700 block of Richardson Lane at 5:33 p.m. on April 10 in reference to a stolen washing machine. A property manager noticed a washing machine and dryer were missing from an apartment unit during a final walk-thru. The washing machine and dryer were later found in the basement.

Salon Window Shattered with Rock

Police were called to Lisa Thomas Salon in the 15900 block of 84th Avenue at 9:48 a.m. on April 10. The owner of the salon reported that an unknown person threw rocks at the front window, causing it to shatter. Rocks were found in an area beneath the window.

Thrown Glass Strikes Woman's Eye

A manager at TGI Friday's at 10:52 p.m. on April 11 told police that a man who placed an online order came in to pick up the order but did not have an ID or credit card. He became irate and stated the restaurant wasted his time. On his way out, he grabbed a glass from the bar and threw it in the air as he walked past a woman. A piece of the glass went into the woman's eye. The man left, but was later located by police and allegedly admitted to throwing a shot glass in the air out of frustration. The victims, both the woman and the store manager, declined to sign complaints.

False Complaint Made Against Spa

A man was banned from a foot spa on 159th Street on April 8 after calling police to say that $25 of his "tip money" was stolen during a massage. Video surveillance showed no one touched his wallet during his stay at the spa except for him.

Bill Not Paid in Full

A party of 15 at Chuck E. Cheese on April 8 did not pay their entire bill. They left still owing the business $96.88.

Signs Stolen From Metra Station

Multiple signs with the phrase "Smile, you're on camera" were reported missing from the walls at the 80th Avenue Metra station on March 24. Also, a wooden bench at the station was found with the words "Hi Trump" written in magic marker. The words "Go Trump" were found on a door.
