The Spring Equinox Market: A Plant and Seed Event returns to Soundgrowler Brewing in Tinley Park in April, with expanded offerings from previous years' events.

The event is expected to feature approximately 50 artists and vendors, with around half located inside the brewery and the remainder on the outdoor patio. In the event of inclement weather, all vendors will be moved indoors to ensure a comfortable experience for both guests and artists.
This year introduces a slight rebrand to the event, Curator John Streetz said. While the market has always centered around plants, organizers have expanded the concept to include seeds, propagation tools, spring equinox-themed art, and creative plant-inspired goods. The goal is to create a dynamic experience where visitors can explore not only live plants, but also the tools, art, and inspiration that help bring gardens and green spaces to life.

Attendees can expect a diverse range of plant vendors offering houseplants, seedlings, seeds, and gardening supplies. Artists and makers will also present plant-themed artwork, décor, and handmade goods. As with many Streetz Artz Alliance markets, the event will also feature a curated mix of complementary vendors offering items such as honey, woodworking, baked goods, coffee, tarot readings, and other unique creations.
Organizers say they have also taken feedback from previous events into account. One of the most common requests from patrons was for additional plant-focused vendors. Several plant sellers sold out during last year’s event, and organizers are working to bring back many of those popular vendors while introducing new growers and plant specialists to the lineup.
The patio at Soundgrowler Brewing is pet-friendly, while the indoor taproom allows service animals only. Guests are encouraged to explore both the indoor and outdoor vendor areas while enjoying the brewery’s welcoming atmosphere.
Soundgrowler Brewing will be serving its full lineup of craft beverages during the event, including a rotating selection of craft beers, non-alcoholic beer options, seltzers, and house root beer. The brewery’s kitchen will also be open, serving its popular tacos, burritos, and other menu favorites.

Visitors can also view the brewery’s featured artist display. March’s Artist of the Month is Rich Stachon, whose work is currently on display inside the brewery and available for purchase.
The Spring Equinox Market reflects the ongoing collaboration between Soundgrowler Brewing and the Streetz Artz Alliance. Together, the teams continue to evolve and refresh their events to keep them engaging for both artists and attendees while supporting local creatives and small businesses.
Vendors interested in participating in the 2026 Spring Equinox Market are encouraged to apply soon, as plant vendors, seed sellers, and spring-themed artists are especially sought after for this event. Vendor applications can be submitted online.
The deadline to apply is March 20.
