Lecture Recital

The Band of Brothers Pipes and Drums is comprised solely of active and retired firefighters from Fire Departments within the states of Illinois and Indiana.
Founding member John Raschke explains the bagpipes and how they became a traditional element to play music at the funeral services for fallen civil service personnel. A demonstration of the instrument’s capabilities and several pieces in different musical styles will be included.
