SSC'S JOHN PIGATTI NAMED REGION IV-B COACH OF THE YEAR

SOUTH HOLLAND, IL–Congratulations to South Suburban College’s Head Men’s Basketball Coach John Pigatti on being named the 2016 Region IV-B Coach of the Year. This is Pigatti’s 7th Regional Coach of the Year Award in his 10 years at SSC.

Under his instruction, the 2016 South Suburban College Bulldogs accolades include:

· Placed 3rd at the National Championship Tournament

· John Pigatti, Region IV-B and District 4 Coach of the Year

· John Pigatti, Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Junior College Division II Coach of the Year

· Team Record 34-3, Best Record in the Nation & School History

· Jovan Mooring, NJCAA Division II National Championship Tournament MVP, Region IV Player of the Year and MVP of Regional Tournament

· Shakur Pinder, NJCAA National Championship All-Tournament Team

· Jalen Myers, 2nd Team All-Region, Named to All-Tournament Team
