State Trooper Charged With Sexual Assault: Tinley PD
Tinley Park police charged the man following an investigation into the August 2025 incident.

TINLEY PARK, IL — Tinley Park police on Friday charged an Illinois State Police trooper with felony criminal sexual assault of a victim unable to give knowing consent in connection with an incident reported to have occurred during the early morning hours of Aug. 2, 2025, officials said.
Tinley Park detectives conducted an investigation into the trooper, Douglass Lee, 54, of Tinley Park, in accordance with established investigative procedures. Following the investigation, police presented the evidence to the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office Felony Review Unit, which approved the felony charge.
Lee is scheduled to appear on Tuesday at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

No additional information has been released in the case.
A spokesperson for ISP said that Lee has been employed with the agency since 2004, and is currently on administrative leave without pay. The agency said it is conducting an internal investigation.
