TINLEY PARK, IL — Musicians and their fans alike were eager to have live music make a return in 2021, and now the tour announcements for 2022 are beginning to flood in.

Illinois-formed classic rock groups Styx and REO Speedwagon announced that they’ll be hitting the road together with Loverboy this summer on their Live and UnZoomed tour.

The trio will make a stop at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in Tinley Park on Saturday, June 4th.

After live music was cut short in early 2020 when the pandemic shutdowns began, members of Styx and REO Speedwagon spent their time off working on their own projects.

Styx was busy putting the finishing touches on their seventeenth studio album, Crash of the Crown, which was released this past June.

Meanwhile, Oak Lawn native and REO Speedwagon lead singer, Kevin Cronin, revealed in previous interviews that he has been working on an autobiography which he hopes to have completed alongside the 2022 tour.

Although Styx and REO have been touring the country separately since June and July, the summer trek will be Loverboy’s first full tour since the pandemic began.

The Live and UnZoomed tour begins in May and ends in August. The Tinley Park show is sandwiched between other stops in St. Louis and Milwaukee.

Tickets go on sale Friday, December 10th with various presales beginning Monday, December 6th.
