Sylvan Learning Center Looks To Expand

TINLEY PARK, IL -- The Sylvan Learning Center in Tinley Park has reported great success over the first few years of operating in Tinley Park and are now looking to expand to other parts of the Chicagoland region. Georgia Chasen, senior director of franchise development, says the company is "actively marketing to prospective franchise candidates," with long-term goals to be in four additional markets.

According to its website, Sylvan offers tutors out of its current location at 9501 W. 171st St. in Tinley Park as "a personal approach" by utilizing interactive technology "to help kids learn math, reading, writing and more."

"The Tinley Park center has helped thousands of students in their community with core tutoring, College Prep, and most recently, robotics, coding and engineering," Chasen said. "We’re incredibly proud of the connections created in the local community."

Already with prospects interested in owning franchises, Sylvan has specifically marked Joliet, Mokena, University Park and Palisades as "optimal markets" for expansion.

There's also more planned for its home base in Tinley Park.
