Teen Bicyclist Dies After Struck By Car: Police
A 14-year-old boy died after being hit by a car on 159th and 80th Avenue Friday night in Tinley Park, police said.
TINLEY PARK, IL — Police are investigating after a 14-year-old boy died Friday night after being struck by a car while on his bike, at 159th Street and 80th Avenue, Tinley Park Police said.
The crash happened just before 9 p.m. The teen was transported to Advocate Christ Hospital, where he was pronounced dead several hours later, Tinley Park Police Chief Matthew Walsh told Patch.
Video obtained showed that the light was green for the driver, a Tinley Park woman who was traveling eastbound on 159th Street, Walsh said. The driver voluntarily gave blood and urine samples, police said.
