Tinley Bakery Ranked Among Best in State

TINLEY PARK, IL - A Tinley Park bakery has been included in a list of the top ten bakeries in the state. Best of Illinois, a blog that allows visitors to select their Illinois town and find the best things to do and places to go, released the list recently and included Creative Cakes Bakery, at 16649 Oak Park Avenue, as No. 4 in the rankings.

“Creative Cakes Bakery is all about sweet, trendy treats,” read a description from April Dowling, author of the list. “Any sweet tooth can be satisfied by the wide selection of indulgent pastries, cupcakes, cookies, and other baked goods. Enjoy their specialty cakes, as well, featuring delicious flavors such as berries, citrus, and German chocolate. They also offer custom-shaped cakes and their highly skilled cake decorators embrace challenging designs.”

Becky Palermo and Beth Fahey have been the operators of Creative Cakes since buying it from its original owners in the 2000s, according to the bakery’s website.

Creative Cakes was ranked behind only Jarosch Bakery of Elk Grove Village, Trefzger’s Bakery of Peoria Heights and Alliance Bakery of Chicago. Calumet Bakery in Lansing rounded out the state’s top five on the Best of Illinois list.
