Tinley Park Hiring Parking Enforcer

Your chance to patrol parking in Tinley Park awaits.

TINLEY PARK, IL -- If you've ever cringed at the sight of someone taking up three parking spots or have noticed a car sticking around for a bit too long, the village of Tinley Park may have a good job opportunity for you.

The village has sent out a call for applications for the position of "Community Service Officer - Parking Enforcement." The position pays $21.96 an hour plus benefits and offers at minimum of a 35-hour work week.

Duties of the position include: monitoring "the flow of vehicles in Village controlled parking areas, issuing citations for overtime parking, illegal parking in handicap zones, fire lanes, no parking zones, parking without displaying proper permits and failure to pay parking fees."

The position holder will be a non-sworn employee, responsible for providing general support to the Tinley Park Police Department and service to Village residents through community policing.
