Tinley Park Hiring Police Officer
The deadline to apply to become a Tinley Park police officer is fast approaching.

TINLEY PARK, IL -- Those who have always yearned to be a police officer have a current opportunity to do so in Tinley Park, and a loosened residency requirement means those interested no longer need to live within village limits.
A job advertisement on TheBlueLine.com indicated the village of Tinley Park is looking to hire a patrol officer. The full-time position will come with a salary between $33.42 and $45.99 per hour.
Applications must be in by August 4. They can be mailed to the Village of Tinley Park, 16250 S. Oak Park Avenue, Tinley Park, IL 60477 or emailed to humanresources@tinleypark.org. Copies of the application can be found on www.tinleypark.org, the Tinley Park Police Department, 7850 W. 183rd St. or at Village Hall.

Important dates for applicants include a mandatory orientation on Sept. 6 and written test on Sept. 9. Both will be held at Victor J. Andrew High School.
The village recently lifted its residency requirement, which previously required all Tinley Park police officers to live in Tinley Park. Now, patrol officers are only required to reside within a 30-mile radius from the intersection of 183rd Street and 80th Avenue within a year of employment.
