Tinley Park Honors July 4 Parade Shooting Victims: Flags At Half Staff

Tinley Park village flags were lowered to half staff and will remain that way until July 9 in honor of lives lost in Highland Park July 4.

TINLEY PARK, IL — Tinley Park officials have lowered flags to half staff in recognition and tribute to the lives lost in the Highland Park July 4 parade. The flags will stay in that position until July 9, according to a notice on the Village website.

In court Wednesday, shooting defendant Robert "Bobby" Crimo III was denied bond with the judge citing a "specific and present threat to the community." Crimo faces seven counts of first-degree murder in the mass shooting that terrorized those along the parade route in Highland Park.
