Tinley Park HS Cheerleading Sits in Second Place after First Day at State

Tinley Park High School cheerleading finished the first day of 2015 IHSA Medium Division Cheerleading State Finals competition nipping at the heels of current first-place finisher and defending champs Lemont High School.

Tinley Park posted an 87.87, just one point behind Lemont, who topped the 25-team field with an 88.87. Third place contender Hampshire grabbed an 87.77. The Tinley Park squad will compete in the event’s final round on Saturday, February 7, at U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington, Ill.

The finals for the Medium Division will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, with the awards ceremony scheduled to follow at 12:45 p.m. Tinley Park is scheduled to perform at 11:35 a.m.
