One hundred and one staff members showed up for work at Tinley Park High School wearing jeans on May 21. Fromteachers to administrators, secretaries to cafeteria workers, all of the school united for the annual G.I. Go Fund Jeans for Troops Day. According to their website, the G.I. Go Fund’s mission is to, “provide assistance to all military veterans, with a focus on veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan, by helping them find employment, access housing, and secure their educational and health benefits.” The event at TPHS, which raised $505, was organized by Social Workers Mr. Keith Huhn and Mrs. Jennifer Gleason.
