The Tinley Park High School Seekers Diversity Club, led by Mrs. Selime Baftiri, continues to celebrate the unique mix of culture among the student body. Recently, junior Mabinty Cooper, shared her amazing story in front of an audience of over 500 of her peers. Cooper was born in Sierra Leone and spent the first part of her life there. She talked about what life was like there and compared and contrasted different aspects of the two cultures. She also introduced the club members to the music, lifestyle and food from her native land.
