Tinley Park Man Charged in Gyro Shop Shooting Incident
Police in Burbank have said Mahmoud Yassin was involved in a shooting at Uncle Sam's Gyros at 87th and Cicero.

TINLEY PARK, IL -- A Tinley Park man faces several charges after police in Burbank say he was involved with a shooting incident last month at a gyros restaurant. Mahmoud Yassin, of the 17400 block of Queen Ann Lane in Tinley, was charged with criminal damage to property, reckless conduct, driving on a suspended license and a felony charge of possession of a stolen motor vehicle, according to a report from the Burbank Beat.
Yassin, 24 was “certainly involved” in a shooting incident that occurred in the early morning hours of April 22 at Uncle Sam's Gyros, Burbank Division Chief Mike Dudlo said.
The shooting incident involved two groups of men firing at each other in the parking lot of the restaurant at the northwest corner of 87th and Cicero, according to reports from the Burbank Beat and Oak Lawn Patch.

“He is a known gang member with gang ties,“ Dudlo said of Yassin.
