Prosecutor said man admitted to shooting up heroin in men's room.

TINLEY PARK, IL -- A man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance after he was found passed out in the men’s restroom at the Tinley Park Library, prosecutors said.

According to the charges, the fire department was called to library at 7851 Timber Dr. to assist an unconscious man on March 21. The man, later identified as Peter Markus, 26, of Tinley Park, was taken to South Suburban Hospital.

Tinley Park paramedics found five small baggies of suspect heroin on the floor of the ambulance. Two more baggies containing heroin were found on the ground next to the ambulance, the prosecutor said.

He has another pending case for a similar charge.

Cook County Judge John Gallagher set bail for violating bond at $50,000, and $30,000 for the new case. The judge also ordered drug treatment at Cook County Jail.

“I hope you take advantage of the people there to help you,” the judge said.
