Tinley Park Man Hurls Hookahs and Ice Cream At Store Clerk: Cops
Hickory Hills police said Tinley Park man became angry because gas station mini-mart didn't sell booze.

HICKORY HILLS, IL -- A Tinley Park man was arrested after he damaged a cash register at a Hickory Hills gas station because the store did not sell alcohol, prosecutors said. Gabriel Trojanowski, 19, appeared before Cook County Judge John Gallagher on a felony charge of criminal damage to property. He was also charged with misdemeanor battery.
According to the charges, Trojanowski went to the Shell station at 8801 W. 87th St. in Hickory Hills on Nov. 28, when he asked for help finding the alcohol. When told by the clerk that the store didn’t sell booze, Trojanowski became upset and allegedly started arguing with other people in the store. The clerk told Trojanowski to leave.
On his way out, the prosecutor said Trojanowski picked up a hookah that was for sale and threw it at the clerk. The base of the hookah hit the cash register, causing approximately $1,000 worth of damage. Trojanowski then went to the freezer and allegedly began pelting the clerk with ice cream sandwiches. He was arrested later on Dec. 19, according to court records.
