Tinley Park Man's Lights Show Helps Locals in Need
Stop by and check out the display at 17321 Avon Lane, and contribute to a local charity while you're there.
You might remember his work from last year’s ”Great Christmas Light Fight.”
Dominic Kowalczyk’s Christmas decorations display is one for the books: roughly 100,000 lights, a giant parrot (“Christmas in Parrotdise,” if you were wondering), snowmen, and snow much more light up the lawn at 17321 Avon Lane.
With hundreds of cars cruising past to take in the scene, Kowalczyk decided to do something to brighten the lives of the needy in his community. He selected a charity, and asked viewers to contribute if they can. Last year’s cause of choice was Susan G Komen for the Cure, with nearly $1,500 raised through the display. This year, he decided to focus locally, with charity Together We Cope.
