Tinley Park Paints Town Green With 2017 Irish Parade: PHOTO GALLERY
Photo highlights of the 2017 Tinley Park Irish Parade.
TINLEY PARK, IL -- The week-long St. Patrick’s Day Mardis Gras ended with Tinley Park’s mile-long Irish Parade on Sunday.
The 2017 edition drew thousands of residents from around the south suburbs, which some parade goers described as a more community oriented parade than last week’s South Side Irish Parade through Chicago’s Beverly neighborhood.
“Too many politicians,” a mom described, although Tinley Park’s local candidates seemed to be out in force taking advantage of their face time with local residents.

The Tinley Park Irish Parade marched down Oak Park Avenue with scout troops, Indian Guides and Princesses, schools, organizations, local businesses and a bagpipe band or two waving, candy tossing and mugging for happy revelers lining the curbs in their finest greenery.
