Tinley Park Swears in 2 New Police Officers

TINLEY PARK, IL - The village of Tinley Park has two new police officers.

Matthew Himmelmann and Vince Van Schouwen were sworn-in as police officers and recited the law enforcement code of honor during the village board meeting on Tuesday.

While both officers are new to Tinley Park, they both come to the village with law enforcement experience. Himmelmann was a member of the Evergreen Park Police Department and Van Schouwen a member of the Alsip Police Department.

“We are glad to have you here in Tinley Park and we look forward to a long continued relationship,” Mayor Dave Seaman said.
