Patch StatShot: Compare Tinley's High Schools

Did you know District 230's local tax base can provide nearly twice as much money for each student's education as Bremen 228's?

That's just one of the facts you'll learn in the StatShot.

Depending on where in town they live, Tinley Park high-school-aged students attend either Victor J. Andrew High School in Community Consolidated High School District 230, Tinley Park High School in Bremen High School District 228, or Lincoln-Way North High School in Lincoln-Way District 210.

Here is a look at the three schools compared to each other and to the state over the last 10 years in three key areas: Graduation rate, ACT scores and average class size.

At the district level, we compare teacher experience and the amount of money the district can provide per student without the state's help.

All figures were taken from the schools' Illinois School Report Cards from the years 2000 to 2009 and the FY2011 General State Aid Reports.

Because Lincoln-Way North opened to freshman, sophomores and juniors in August 2008 and graduated its first senior class in May 2010, the 2009 Report Card was the only available.
