Tinley Tap Room, Breweries Spread 'Beer Cheer' for the Holidays

Buy beer locally throughout the month of December, help south suburban nonprofit Together We Cope

TINLEY PARK, IL — Three crafty local businesses in Tinley Park have united to raise money for a local food pantry, and the best part is how you can help. They’re calling it “Tinley Craft Beer Cheer”, and The Open Bottle, a craft beer shop and tap room in Tinley Park, is donating $1 for every draft beer sold during the month December to local food pantry Together We Cope. Their neighbors at Hailstorm Brewing and 350 Brewing are also joining them by donating $1 for every pint sold at their breweries.

“We wanted to approach the holiday season with an anti-Scrooge attitude,” says Patrick Bisch, co-owner of The Open Bottle, “so raising money for the local food pantry, Together We Cope, was an obvious choice”. “Our friends at Hailstorm Brewing and 350 Brewing were eager to join us in raising money for such a good cause as well. We expect to raise at least $1,000 alone, and even more with the help of our neighbors,” says Julia Bisch, co-owner of The Open Bottle.

In addition to raising money, the three businesses have also agreed on a date to volunteer at the food pantry. From now until December 31st, visit any of the three locations to enjoy a craft beer on draft and help put food on the tables of those in need this holiday season.
