Tinley Woman Killed by Train Committed Suicide: Autopsy

A woman who died after being struck by a train Friday morning committed suicide, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner.

Christina Birkmeyer, 23, of the 7700 block of 167th Place in Tinley Park, was hit shortly midnight Friday, as the Rock Island District train No. 531 was departing the station at 159th and Cicero Avenue. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:46 a.m.
