Chili and beer are on the menu at Hops for Hunger, a fundraiser to benefit Together We Cope at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 18 at Rock Island Public House, 13328 Olde Western Avenue in Blue Island. Tickets are $10 per person and include a bowl of chili and the first pint of a “Special Event” beer featured that evening. Together We Cope is a homeless prevention agency based in Tinley Park and serving 27 south suburban communities. It bridges the gap for families in temporary crisis by providing food, shelter, clothing and referrals, empowering them to return to self-sufficiency.
