VFW Post 2791 in Tinley Park Extends Service to Help Kids Fighting Cancer

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2791 in Tinley Park is extending service by recently hosting a holiday toy drive to help the Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation. The recent donation of toys will directly benefit children going through cancer treatments.
Kendra Connor, Executive Director of the Treasure Chest Foundation, expressed her gratitude for the generous support provided by the members of VFW Post 2791. “It's thanks to organizations like the VFW that the Treasure Chest Foundation can continue our vital work. VFW Post 2791's support will make a positive impact in the lives of many children. The generosity and compassion shown by the members of VFW Post 2791 is truly admirable and serves as an inspiration to others to contribute towards our mission.”
The POTCF is a unique organization whose services impact more than 16,100 young cancer patients currently in 63 active cancer treatment centers in 21 states across the nation and in the District of Columbia. The Treasure Chest Foundation accepts donations of new toys, books, and gift cards to help support the mission of providing comfort and distraction from painful procedures to children and teens who have been diagnosed with cancer.
