Village Planners Approve Tinley Park Apartment Project

The Boulevard at Central Station, a 296,419-square-foot, mixed use development project, now needs the go-ahead from the Village Board.

TINLEY PARK, IL — Planners from the Village of Tinley Park gave the go-ahead on plans for a downtown apartment project, The Chicago Tribune reported. However, the news report said the village board still needs to approve plans for Boulevard at Central Station project, which began back in 2001.

In a recent Facebook post the Village said Boulevard at Central Station would be a 296,419-square-foot, mixed use development constructed by South Street Development LLC at the southeast corner of South Street and 67th Court.

According to The Chicago Tribune, David Sosin, an attorney for South Street said the company and the village are working to finalize an incentive agreement that would include reimbursements for the developer for work around the site, and also said there's interest from business operators and tenants for ground-level Boulevard space.
