Village of Tinley Park still paying Mike Madigan henchman

Former House Speaker Mike Madigan may be facing federal prosecution, but this has not stopped the Village of Tinley Park from continuing to keep the disgraced former Speaker’s lieutenants on the payroll.

Tinley Park taxpayers are STILL paying Cornerstone Government Affairs Inc. for the Tinley Park Mental Health Center property in the amount of $71,500.00 even though the issue has already been decided in Springfield. Not to mention a second contract, worth $11,000 for Cornerstone, That’s $82,500.00 worth of contracts. Then on October 17th, the Village approved another $42,000 contract with Cornerstone bringing the total up to $124,500.00!

Mike Glotz campaign donor Will Cousineau is principal at Cornerstone Government Affairs Inc. and is a Michael Madigan loyalist who took an immunity deal from the government and has testified extensively in the corruption cases against high level Madigan associates.

Why are taxpayers continuing to pay a Madigan lieutenant taxpayer money to work on a project that in essence has already been decided? The Tinley Park Mental Health Center has been sold to the Tinley Park Park District. There is not going to be a racino there.

Taxpayers already had to foot approximately $50,000 in legal fees to Glotz ally Paul O’Grady’s Johnson and Murray law firm. Mayor Mike Glotz wants to pretend he is a budget hawk and looking out for the taxpayers, but the truth is he is looking out for his friends first. Being a friend of Glotz is very lucrative and we as taxpayers are paying the bill.
