Kristy Campbell, Sports Market Manager for Visit Chicago Southland, retires April 17, 2026.

Matteson, Ill. – (April 17, 2026) Kristy Campbell, Sports Market Manager for Visit Chicago Southland, retires April 17, 2026.
“My time working in hospitality has been invaluable. I have grown professionally and personally through the years and have made many industry friends that I will forever cherish,” said Campbell. “It is with gratitude to Visit Chicago Southland that I move on to this next chapter in my life.”
Since joining Visit Chicago Southland in 2000, Campbell has held the positions of Administrative Assistant, Event Services Manager, Tour & Travel Manager, SMERF Market Manager, and Sports Market Manager. As Tour & Travel Manager, she earned Certified Travel Industry Specialist status by Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. She assumed the Sports Marketing Manager position in 2020 where she was responsible for bringing sporting events to the Chicago Southland region.

In retirement, Kristy and her husband, Scott, plan to camp at every U.S. National Park in the 50 states.
“We sincerely thank Kristy for her 26 years of service and dedication in making Visit Chicago Southland a premier tourist destination. We will greatly miss working with her.” said Visit Chicago Southland President/CEO Mary Patchin. “We wish Kristy many years of enjoyment and travels as she begins her journey of retirement.”

Effective April 20, Campbell’s successor, Nathan Annis, will assume the Visit Chicago Southland Sports Market Manager role.
