Wheelchair Basketball World Championship Coming To Chicago Southland
2022 NAWBL World Championship To Be Played At Lincolnway North High School

Olympia Fields, Ill. – (April 21, 2022) The Lincolnway Special Recreation Association (LWSRA), visionaries in creating and implementing adaptive programming for people with disabilities, has been selected to host the 2022 North American Wheelchair Basketball League (NAWBL) World Championship tournament at Lincolnway North High School in Frankfort May 12-14.
“LWSRA is humbled by the opportunity to host such an important event for the NAWBL community,” said Keith Wallace, LWSRA Executive Director. Founded in 1976, LWSRA provides both adaptive and special recreation services for individuals with disabilities through a cooperative agreement with Frankfort, Frankfort Square, Mokena, New Lenox and the Peotone park districts in the Chicago Southland region.
The NAWBL World Championship will see some of the greatest men, women, and military players and teams from North America competing in the three-day event.
