Woman Arrested For Smoking Blunt While Driving: Police

Prosecutor said woman pulled up next to a Tinley Park police officer who noticed she was smoking a blunt while driving.

TINLEY PARK, IL -- A Justice woman was pulled over after Tinley Park police spotted her smoking a blunt while driving, prosecutors said. Izabela Trybula, 27, appeared before Cook County Judge Peter Felice on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. In addition to the alleged blunt, police said that Trybula was carrying amphetamines in her purse.

According to the charges, on April 23, Trybula was traveling southbound on Harlem Avenue from 159th Street when she pulled up alongside a Tinley Park cop. The officer saw her allegedly smoking a brown blunt behind the wheel. Noticing she was stopped next to a police car, the prosecutor said Trybula put the blunt down and lit a cigarette.

Police pulled Trybula over and found 16 orange pills in her purse, which the Illinois State Police Crime Lab later determined to be Adderall, the prosecutor said.
