Woman Injures Cop's Wrist Resisting Arrest: Prosecutor
Woman had opened line of credit using fake ID at Tinley Park Menard's, prosecutors said.

A woman was arrested after she opened a line of credit using a false ID and then resisted arrest, prosecutors said in court on Monday.
Diamon Champagne Clemon, 23, appeared for a bond hearing where she is facing a felony charge of resisting arrest.

Prosecutors said that Clemon was approved for a credit card at Menard’s, 6851 W 159th St, Tinley Park. When she tried to buy merchandise using the new line of credit, the transaction was declined.
As police officers were taking her into custody, Clemon “tried to defeat the arrest” by fighting the officer, injuring his wrist, prosecutors said.

Clemon is being held on a no-bond fugitive warrant out of Lake County, IN, on a forgery charge. Bail for the new charge was set at $10,000.
Her next court appearance is on Aug. 5.
