Woman Sues, Says Meat from Tinley Park Jewel Gave Her Salmonella

Janet Dominik filed the lawsuit Tuesday, after allegedly contracting salmonella from store products in May.

A woman who allegedly contracted salmonella from deli meat purchased at a Tinley Park store is taking action against the grocery store chain.

Janet Dominik, who in May experienced nausea, diarrhea, fever, and other symptoms of salmonella after eating the meat, filed the suit Tuesday, reports Tribune Media. The suit alleges that as many as 15 other people also contracted salmonella from food purchased from the store at 17117 Harlem Avenue.

In June, the deli was shut down temporarily after cases of salmonella were traced back to the same deli.
