Local Restaurant Brings World Cup Watch Parties, Specials To Chicagoland Locations

As the World Cup brings global soccer excitement to Chicagoland, some Chciago-area restaurants are turning match days into full-scale celebrations with themed food and drink specials, fan promotions and viewing parties across its suburban locations.

Among those restaurants is Fat Rosie’s Taco & Tequila Bar, which has locations at 870 N. Meacham Road, Lincolnshire; 940 Milwaukee Ave., Schaumburg; 5433 Park Place in Rosemont; and 3011 Butterfield Road, Oak Brook.

Throughout the tournament, Fat Rosie’s restaurants will stream select World Cup matches with game sound, transforming each location into a high-energy viewing destination for fans, according to a news release. Game-day promotions include free queso for tables wearing their team jerseys, $1 shots tied to match outcomes and food specials centered around major national teams competing in the tournament.

Highlights include:

• Free queso for tables wearing their team jerseys on game days
• $1 shots every time Team USA or Mexico scores a goal
• $1 shots for fans wearing other teams’ jerseys when their team wins
• $25 taco platter special during Team USA and Mexico matches featuring 10 street tacos with assorted proteins
• The limited-time El Tricolor Margarita, a frozen strawberry and kiwi margarita inspired by the colors of the Mexican flag and topped with a Tajín-salt rim
