• Wauconda man wearing ski mask accused of possessing loaded ghost gun in public park in Vernon Hills (lakemchenryscanner.com) — Police say a man from Wauconda was arrested in a Vernon Hills public park after hours, where officers allegedly found him wearing a ski mask and sitting near a loaded ghost gun in a vehicle. Prosecutors report he lacked required firearm licenses, faces a felony weapons charge, remains jailed in Lake County, and is due back in court September 30.
